OSAKA SEALING PRINTING CO., LTD. (Headquarters: Tennoji-ku, Osaka City; President: Matsuguchi Tadashi), a member of the OSP Group, will release "Oshigoto Seal" and "Cup Tops," which were jointly planned with students from Nagoya University of Foreign Studies, from Tuesday, July 19, 2023.
"Oshigoto Stickers" are decorative and protective stickers for photos and cards, and were developed in collaboration with students from the Department of Global Studies at Nagoya University of Foreign Studies (Nisshin City, Aichi Prefecture). "Cup Tops" are lid-shaped products that can be heat-sealed with an iron. Both products are part of the ItemOSP series (see below), which has been well-received for being unique and full of ideas.

■ The background of the joint project "Oshigoto Sticker" and the creation of the product

This joint project was launched in January 2023 by students who voluntarily participated in a project to "think of new and convenient ideas using stickers" through a professor at the School of Global Studies at Nagoya University of Foreign Studies (Nisshin City, Aichi Prefecture), with whom we had a long-standing connection, and a planning staff member from Osaka Sealing Printing.
A total of five planning meetings were held, with students divided into four teams, and each team compiled their ideas and presented them in a presentation format, after which our planning staff and the students exchanged opinions. The product's concept was decided on the idea of "a sticker like a picture frame that you can stick on the wall," based on a student's opinion that "it would be nice to have an item that can be enjoyed when sticking photos of your favorite (your favorite) on your smartphone or decorating photos." After creating a prototype and exchanging opinions, the "Oshigoto Sticker" was born. The market size of "oshikatsu," an activity in which people pour their passion into supporting their favorite idol, actor, or character, is expanding. The product name "Oshigoto Sticker" is a play on the word "oshikatsu."

The students offered flexible ideas from their perspective, and we were able to hear the needs of the younger generation through their own voices. We were also able to learn about the perspectives from which they view society, which was a very stimulating and meaningful project.
