The G20 countries are not on the same page, the conflict between Western countries, including Japan and South Korea, and China and Russia is intensifying, and the impact of rising material and energy costs is continuing, slowing the recovery of the world economy. Under these circumstances, the OSP Group will pursue growth by formulating an exit strategy for the Osaka-Kansai Expo that will open in April 2025. We will continue to promote the SDGs as a pillar of our management and further promote our activities.
In recent years, incidents involving various accidents have occurred in addition to natural disasters such as earthquakes and torrential rainfall.
As we strive for total optimization across safety, quality, production, costs, human resources, environmental concerns, and the continuation of our business; we prioritize education and training to ensure the safety and security of our employees. To earn that trust on all fronts we seek to foster a culture of centered on safety and quality.
Specifically, we have set priority items and targets for reducing greenhouse gases across our group. By implementing activities toward these goals, we are streamlining our operations, controlling resource and energy consumption, and reducing material loss. Furthermore, we will be more environmentally friendly by developing products and improving processes to reduce the amount of plastic used. Next, we plan to carry out active operations to ensure business continuity. Exercises, in particular, involve a cycle of planning, verification, and evaluation. At the same time, we will ensure a stable supply of products by thorough business impact analysis and optimization of management resources. We will further enhance our materials and processes to produce and supply food contact-friendly products, actively engage in SDGs initiatives, foster a balance between job satisfaction and growth, and make meaningful contributions to society and local communities. Finally, we will provide education and training to develop a high level of professionalism, including the SDGs, by providing a comfortable working environment for all employees, taking full account of the diversity of work styles and the success of women, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
At the OSP Group, we will continue to take on these initiatives and continue to evolve in response to the ever-changing circumstances of society.
As a leading company in the sticker and label industry, we aim to raise the standard of sustainable management and become a company that is even more trusted by our stakeholders. In order to do so, we signed the United Nations Global Compact in January 2024 and became a registered participant.
We contribute to solving social issues by proposing products that support a rich lifestyle while being conscious of environmental conservation in order to realize a sustainable society. We will continue to fulfill our social responsibilities through our business activities, continue to take on the challenge of transformation so that we can remain a company that is needed in the future, and continue to work to further improve our corporate value.
