What is "BCM Rating" Loan?

This is a financing menu that incorporates the specialized methodology of "BCM Rating," which uses a unique evaluation system developed by the Development Bank of Japan to evaluate and select companies with outstanding disaster prevention and business continuity initiatives.

The OSP Group conducts business impact analysis and makes continuous improvements to reduce risks in terms of both disaster prevention and business continuity. We have eight manufacturing bases for stickers, labels, and film products nationwide, and have a backup system in place to switch over to manufacturing at other bases if any of our factories are forced to suspend operations due to a disaster or other reason.
With regard to inventory and shipping, we manage our inventory at two bases in the east and west of Gifu Prefecture and Ibaraki Prefecture, and are prepared to respond to risks in the event of an emergency. These disaster prevention and business continuity efforts were particularly recognized, and we received the highest ranking again this year, following our May 2021 ranking.

■ Evaluation points

• 1.At the BCMS General Meeting, the Group has established a system for regular reviews of disaster prevention and business continuity plans, and is promoting measures to strengthen response capabilities, such as securing multiple means of emergency communication, providing education using the "OSP SAFETY CARD" to promote rapid initial responses, and conducting initial response training in collaboration with major business partners.

• 2. In order to fulfill its supply responsibilities, the company is comprehensively identifying the management resources necessary to achieve its target recovery time and is focusing on addressing bottlenecks and securing alternative bases. In addition, the company is formulating emergency funding plans based on a newly implemented analysis of the financial impact of business interruptions and is working to enhance its IT-BCP.

• 3.In order to realize the business continuity strategy, the Company has implemented business continuity surveys of major suppliers and, based on the survey results, has provided guidance for improvements and diversified suppliers. The Company also shares inventory risk information with business partners and mutually secures strategic inventory, among other things, and is working diligently on continuous supply chain measures.
