The label using LIMEX Sheet as the base material is made from 80μm "LIMEX Sheet," which is made primarily from limestone and developed by TBM Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Atsuyoshi Yamazaki; hereinafter referred to as TBM), and is made possible by optimizing the adhesive coating and printing technology, utilizing the know-how of sticker and label manufacturing that the OSP Group has cultivated over the years, to make it practical for use in labels.

"LIMEX Sheet" is a product developed by TBM using limestone as the main raw material, and compared to synthetic papers such as PP (polypropylene) and PET (polyethylene terephthalate) sheets that are commonly used for labels, it can reduce the amount of petroleum-derived plastic used and greenhouse gas emissions including CO2 throughout its life cycle. In addition, since this product does not use any wood pulp as a raw material, it can significantly reduce the amount of water used during production compared to paper labels, contributing to the conservation of forests and water resources.

■Excellent durability and water resistance

Compared to paper labels, this product has superior durability and water resistance, making it suitable for adhesive label applications for products where water droplets are expected to adhere. Therefore, we also recommend switching from labels that currently use synthetic paper to labels that use LIMEX Sheet as the base material.

Labels using LIMEX Sheet as a base material are useful for reducing the environmental impact.
