■ Pursuing a more understandable design

The OSP Group is involved in a wide range of activities, from the manufacture of printing paper for stickers and labels, to design production, printing, the development and manufacture of printing peripherals, and the design and research and development of labeling systems. For planning and design production, approximately 100 designers propose designs that meet the needs of customers. We are pursuing universal design more deeply, as we believe that the social environment demands not only design that increases product value, but also "ease of understanding." These efforts have been recognized, and we have won the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award, Excellence Award, and Honorable Mention Award for 15 consecutive years at this fair, where we have exhibited since the first time.

■OSP Group's Sustainability

The OSP Group is conducting "sustainable management" that aims to realize a sustainable society by responding to various changes in the social environment and balancing business activities with the resolution of social issues. Aiming for harmony between the economy, society, and the environment through business activities, we are working on the SDGs by setting four sustainability policies (environment, customers, contribution to society and the community, and human resource development and activity). Pursuing more "easy-to-understand" designs meets the needs of society and also leads to the improvement of designers' capabilities, so we are exhibiting at this fair as part of the SDGs.

■ Purpose of the event

What is MUD (Media Universal Design)?
Universal design is a concept for designing products, environments, and services that are easy for everyone to use. Its aim is to make them accessible to a wide range of people, including the elderly, people with disabilities, foreigners, and children. MUD (Media Universal Design) applies this concept to media in the field of information transmission, and aims to make information such as colors, letters, and shapes easy to understand for as many people as possible.
