OSAKA SEALING PRINTING CO., LTD. will be exhibiting a booth at the "JP2024 Printing DX Exhibition" hosted by the JP Industrial Exhibition Association, which will be held at Hall 5 of INTEX Osaka for two days on Thursday, May 16th and Friday, May 17th, 2024.

This time, we will be introducing and exhibiting products and initiatives under the theme of "Initiatives, products and services aimed at a sustainable society through stickers and packaging."

■ Initiative 1: Efforts to reduce environmental impact

・Biomass boiler

This equipment can utilize steam generated during the combustion of waste materials and solid fuels as thermal energy for the drying furnace of a coater.

・Non-sol lamination

Processing using adhesives that do not contain organic solvents not only reduces the burden on the environment, but also limits the impact on the health of operators.

・Circular economy concept

A system for recycling release paper was established to make the sticker and label business a sustainable business.

■ Initiative 2: Obtaining certification marks

・Biomass mark

As the company is committed to manufacturing products using inks and glues that contain biomass-derived raw materials, it has received certification from the Japan Organic Resources Association, a general incorporated association that is given to products that use renewable, biological organic resources.

・ISO14001 Environmental Management System

This certification is given to companies that consider the impact of their business activities on the environment and contribute to environmental conservation. The scope of application is the entire process from order to delivery of stickers, labels, stickers, soft packaging materials, packaging products, and automatic labeling machines.

・FSC® Forest certification (CoC certification)

FSC® certification is an international certification system that promotes appropriate forest management that is environmentally sound, socially beneficial, and economically sustainable. (License number: FSC®-C008315)

■Exhibited products and services

・Clear Paper Series (Paper Attention/ Clear Paper Sticker)

This product uses paper instead of film, and the stiff and transparent paper material gives it a natural translucency and does not interfere with the design. Reducing the use of film also reduces the environmental impact.

・ Papack

This paper packaging material does not use plastic film but has heat sealability, can be fused with heat, and is resistant to water and oil. When this product is used to replace "soft packaging materials" that use plastic films such as polyethylene and polypropylene, it can lead to a reduction in the amount of plastic used and a reduction in CO2 emissions when incinerated.

・ Labels using LIMEX Sheet as the base material

This label uses 80μm "LIMEX Sheet" made mainly from limestone, developed by TBM Co., Ltd., as the base material. Compared to synthetic paper, which is commonly used for labels, it reduces the amount of petroleum-based plastic used and greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, since it does not use any wood pulp as a raw material, it can significantly reduce water usage compared to paper labels, contributing to the conservation of forests and water resources.

・ Palmyashix® label

The label uses "Palmyashix®" a paper made by pulping the "palm pulp" that remains after palm oil is extracted from palm kernels and mixing it with other raw materials. (" Palmyashix®" is a paper developed by Crown Packaging Co., Ltd.)

・Pitta Ring®

The adhesive side of the label is not sticky, and only the adhesive side sticks to itself. A self-adhesive biomass adhesive is used, making it possible to display the biomass mark.

・Recyclable release paper labels

This environmentally friendly product uses 100% recycled paper for the surface base material, which is the release paper of stickers and labels. In order to make effective use of discarded release paper as a resource, we continued to research and develop recycling technology and succeeded in developing a label.

・ Dot Tack®

This functional tack paper has adhesive applied in dots. Its adhesive power does not decrease even after repeated application and removal, and it sticks firmly and can be removed cleanly without leaving any glue residue.
