- press release
OSAKA SEALING PRINTING CO., LTD. (Head office: Tennoji-ku, Osaka City; President and CEO: Tadashi Matsuguchi Tadashi), a member of the OSP Group, has jointly developed recycled paper with Orion Beer Co., Ltd. (Head office: Tomigusuku City, Okinawa Prefecture; President and CEO: Hajime Murano).
With the cooperation of Sanyo Paper Co., Ltd. (Head office: Sennan City, Osaka Prefecture, CEO: Rokujiro Harada), we have developed recycled paper in which malt residue generated during the brewing process of Orion Beer is used as part of the raw materials for paper. Osaka Sealing Printing will use the recycled paper to produce business cards and sell them to Orion Beer. We are pleased to announce that a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Sakura Classroom (formerly Nago Children's Cafeteria), which provides learning support for children and a place for community interaction. The Orion Group will use business cards made from its own malt residue as a tool to communicate the philosophy of sustainability. We will also contribute to the community by reducing the environmental impact by making effective use of waste and supporting children.

■OSP Group's Environmental Initiatives
The OSP Group is promoting the introduction of printing methods and equipment with less environmental impact, and is strengthening the development of products that reduce CO2 emissions and are environmentally friendly. In addition, four companies established the Label Recycling Association (J-ECOL), a general incorporated association that promotes the recycling of used release paper from stickers and labels, and is working to make effective use of resources and reduce the environmental impact of the industry as a whole. This time, we supported and participated in the "Recycled Paper Development Project," which upcycles and effectively uses malt lees.
■OSP Group's Sustainability
The OSP Group is conducting "sustainable management" that aims to realize a sustainable society by responding to various changes in the environment and balancing business activities with the resolution of social issues. With the harmony of economy, society, and the environment in mind through business activities, the group is working toward the SDGs by setting four sustainability policies: 1) the environment, 2) customers, 3) contribution to society and the community, and 4) human resource development and development. This project is part of the initiative for 3) contribution to society and the community, "actively promoting the harmony of job satisfaction and growth through SDG activities."
