OSAKA SEALING PRINTING CO., LTD. (Head office: Tennoji-ku, Osaka City; President: Matsuguchi Tadashi), a member of the OSP Group, will open a nursery school exclusively for employees, "OSP Kids Garden Ogaki," on the grounds of its Gifu Factory next spring. The company is pleased to announce that a groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, to mark the start of construction.

The OSP Group strives to create a comfortable working environment, aiming for work-life integration for employees. We have also introduced and enhanced our childcare-related systems, which exceed legally mandated standards. We are opening a nursery school on the grounds of our Gifu Plant No. 1, aiming to make it easier for employees of child-rearing age to balance work and childcare. Children can be picked up and dropped off at the time of commuting to and from work, reducing the burden of picking them up when employees are unwell. This is our second on-site nursery school, following the opening of "OSP Kids Garden Kokura" at our Fukuoka Plant in 2020. As a contribution to the local community, we are also considering enrolling children of non-employee employees in the future.

■ Background to the opening of "OSP Kids Garden Ogaki"

Osaka Sealing Printing has manufacturing bases in seven prefectures: Hokkaido, Tochigi, Gifu, Shiga, Osaka, Okayama, and Fukuoka. Among these, the Gifu factory has a high male to female employee ratio of 3:7, and the number of men taking "childcare leave at birth (postpartum paternity leave)" is increasing company-wide. As a result, the company decided to open the nursery as part of efforts to improve the environment so that employees involved in childcare can balance their career advancement with their life plans for childbirth and child-rearing.

■Workplace welcoming attitude

The Gifu Factory has three offices in Ogaki City: the First Office (Kusegawa-cho, Ogaki City), the Second Office (Motoima, Ogaki City), and the Third Office (Tsukisute-cho, Ogaki City). The Second and Third Offices are located 2-4 km away from the First Office, where the new nursery school will be built. Therefore, for convenience, employees working at the Second and Third Offices who wish to use the nursery school can transfer to the First Office. Furthermore, the entire company is providing support, including providing advance explanations to managers and above regarding the opening of the nursery school.

■ Five years since opening: Fukuoka Factory "OSP Kids Garden Kokura"

Lunches and snacks are all homemade at the nursery, and the tableware is porcelain, which allows children to easily sense the temperature of the food, so in addition to nutrition, the nursery also practices dietary education. Employees who have used the nursery have said things like, "I can work without worrying about the hours," "There's no competition to get into nursery school, so I was able to return to work with peace of mind," "It's next to the company, so I can work with peace of mind while keeping an eye on my child," and "There's an atmosphere that makes me feel comfortable when I leave work to go see a play or something." The number of children attending both regular and temporary nursery care is increasing every year.
