OSAKA SEALING PRINTING CO., LTD. (Head office: Tennoji-ku, Osaka City; President: Matsuguchi Tadashi), a member of the OSP Group, will begin selling "highly transparent labels" that are more transparent than conventional products from December 15, 2025.
When applied to transparent containers such as bottles, this product gives the appearance of being printed directly on the surface. It is suitable for labels on alcoholic beverages such as sake and wine, which are bottled in clear bottles, as well as soft drinks and other cosmetics and miscellaneous goods that require high design quality.
■ Development Background
Osaka Sealing Printing has developed a variety of products to help customers solve their problems. This time, too, we embarked on development to provide labels suitable for products that require a sophisticated design. By using a highly smooth release film, we have reduced the appearance of the yuzu peel (fine unevenness) and increased transparency. We also used a transparent adhesive to achieve a cleaner finish.
■Beautiful finish achieved through digital printing
This product uses digital printing to reproduce full color and beautifully express gradations and photographs. It not only reduces costs by eliminating the need for plates, but also eliminates misalignment, or misregistration, when printing multiple colors on top of each other, ensuring accurate design reproduction.
■Cost reduction compared to direct printing
Printing directly onto bottles often requires initial costs and costs for the printing itself, but this product can reduce costs by sticking a transparent label to the bottle. Digital printing in particular allows for flexible support for small lots and design changes.
